We specialise in residential projects, extensions, refurbishments, house makeovers, roof conversions and garage conversions. We also design new homes, listed buildings and can undertake small retail and commercial work.
Accreditation
Claire Haigh is an RIBA Chartered Architect and Member of ARCUK.
We are also members of Checkaprofessional. It is a testimony to the practice that a lot of our new business enquiries are from repeat clients and recommendations.
Philosophy
We try to offer our clients a realistic proposal to suit their wishes and their budget whilst promoting good design. The early stages of the project are our chance to get to know you and the way you want to live. Consequently the solution that we come up with may be quite different to that which you initially thought that you wanted.

Claire Haigh
Director
Claire Haigh, has a wealth of experience having been involved in a whole host of projects since the mid 1980’s. Claire has been a Chartered Architect since January 1990 and has worked in London, Brighton and Malaysia. She has been project manager for multi-million pound projects in Education, Commercial, Hospitality and Hotel projects.
In September 2002 she decided to set up her own practice to enable her to run a flexible studio to fit around her young family to achieve a good work/life balance. Many years later the practice now has a client base that includes property developers, individual home owners, businesses and entrepreneurs covering most of Sussex.
Claire attends as many of the Local Planning Authority Agents Forums as she can fit in to try to keep up to date with changes in planning policy.
Badruzaman Badawi
Director
Badruzaman Badawi, studied Architectural Design in the University of Massachusetts USA in the 1980’s and has over 35 years work experience in America, Sweden, Malaysia and England. He worked in London on large commercial projects for 8 years before joining Claire Haigh Associates Ltd in Hove in 2006. He specialises in the Surveying, Building Regulations and Technical side of the company and has a flare for photography and an eye for good design.

This was my first new build, a home for my family, and Claire got the design right pretty much first time. Also negotiated the council and Code for Sustainable Homes minefields and got planning permission on first attempt. The house is now the finest on the street and looks stunning.
